OSSO was asked to rethink HOW magazine from the ground up. HOW was started in 1985 and was once the most popular graphic design magazine on the market. Lately, it has been slipping. OSSO was tasked with reconceptualizing the editorial strategy, re-organizing content, re-designing the magazine from scratch, and defining a new direction to bring the magazine into the 21st Century.

HOW magazine was reimagined as a visual journey into the world of design. The editorial and visual strategies were completely integrated for a seamless reader experience. The magazine was redesigned to be a 'choose your own adventure' so that no matter what page the reader opened to, they would be hooked.
